Sudoku is the world's favourite number puzzle, and you can play it here free, right in your browser. Every puzzle has exactly one solution and can be solved with logic alone, no guessing needed.

1. The goal: fill the 9×9 grid so every row, every column and every 3×3 box contains the numbers 1 to 9, with no repeats.
2. Pick a square by tapping or clicking it, then tap a number to place it.
3. Use Notes ✏️ to write small pencil marks for the numbers a square might be. Notes are cleared automatically when you place a number nearby.
4. Wrong numbers turn red and count as a mistake. After 3 mistakes the game is over (you can turn this off in Settings).
5. Need help? Tap Hint 💡 to fill in a square. You get 2 free hints in every puzzle.
6. Finish the grid to win. Your time, mistakes and hints decide your score.

Tips: start with the rows, columns and boxes that are almost full. Look for squares where only one number can fit, and for numbers that can only go in one place in a box.
